East Side Forward

Clean Mobility Buffalo is a movement propelled by an alliance of like-missioned partners and neighborhood leaders, and built on the support of a $10 million commitment from the New York Clean Transportation Prizes Program. Focused first on Buffalo's East Side, this isa is committed to helping New York State accomplish its nation-leading goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions 85% by 2050.

As partners—working with and for the community—we are championing a shared vision for a cleaner, healthier, equitable, and more connected Buffalo. Together, we are advancing forward-thinking projects designed to meet current and long-standing transportation challenges and introduce innovative, environmentally friendly, and health-conscious alternatives for all.

Powerful projects are propelling Buffalo’s East Side forward.‍ ‍

From the spring 2026 launch of Buffalo’s newest all-electric vehicle sharing program to expanded e-bike access and the opening of a vital neighborhood bike library, Clean Mobility partners are steering community-driven projects that contribute to a cleaner environment, connect people with opportunity, and reimagine transportation in the Queen City.

Progress moves everyone forward.
